However, on the statewide level, Louisiana does not offer any state-level tax credits or rebates for purchasing electric vehicles. Multiple different utility providers in Louisiana offer incentives for installing EV charging stations. These include Entergy, SWEPCO, and Cleco Power.
- Entergy EV Charger Rebate: Entergy Louisiana rebates for installing an EV charger for their customers. This is about $250 in rebates for installing a qualified Level 2 EV charger on a residential property. They offer about $750-$1,500 for DC fast chargers for their commercial customers.
- SWEPCO EV Charger Rebate: SWEPCO also offers rebates for their residential customers. For residential properties, this is around a $250 rebate for installing a qualified Level 2 EV charging station.
- Cleco EV Charger Rebate: Cleco also offers a $250 rebate for their residential customers when they install a Level 2 charger in their home.
